Her story

Lynn is a Special Counsel at McCullough Robertson Lawyers.

Without mentioning your job title, how would you describe what it is you do now (whether at home, work, in the community, etc.)?

Servicing clients for their legal needs within real estate, problem-solving issues and providing clients with sound yet practical legal advice.

What are the first three words you think of when you hear the word ‘diversity’?

Inclusion, culture and opportunity.

What do you think it will take to develop truly diverse thinking within the legal industry?

To develop truly diverse thinking within the legal industry, it is essential to:

Embrace Inclusivity: Actively include individuals from various ages, nationalities, and cultural backgrounds. This diversity of perspectives can enrich discussions and lead to more innovative solutions.

Encourage Open Dialogue: Promote an environment where free speech and healthy debate are encouraged. Diverse thinking thrives when people feel safe to express dissenting opinions without fear of retribution.

Maintain Respect: Ensure that all interactions, even during disagreements, are conducted respectfully. Personal attacks should be avoided to maintain a professional and constructive atmosphere.

Provide Equal Opportunities: Create pathways for all voices to be heard and valued, ensuring that everyone has the chance to contribute meaningfully.

Foster Continuous Learning: Encourage ongoing education and awareness about different cultures and perspectives to build empathy and understanding within the industry.

What was your main driver to enter the legal industry?

My love of language.
